Stevie Nicks Fleetwood Mac original artwork wall decor

£895.00

‘Sisters of the Moon: a Party of Stevie Nicks’, the original artwork

This is my original pen and watercolour illustration of the lovely and talented Stevie Nicks, right from the early days of her career through the big hair 80s and right up to the present. It was hand drawn by me on unframed A2 Daler Rowney 300gsm aquarelle paper, using fine line pens and then painted with watercolours (594mm x 420mm, 23 3/8 inches x  16 1/2 inches).

Once purchased I will sign and date the artwork on the back then seal it in a cellophane envelope before carefully rolling it in a sturdy tube before posting by special tracked delivery.

I have to admit to being late to the party with Stevie, although I do now feel like a convert / addict. Everything changed for me when I was commissioned to do a Stevie portrait by a fan. The reference photo intrigued me so I started digging…….

I started listening to her music and liked what I heard, so I read her Biography ‘Gold Dust Woman’ by Stephen Davis. I then started to listen to every Fleetwood Mac / Stevie Nicks albums in order and became absolutely obsessed ! I watched every concert and documentary I could find on TV, and read up all I could on Fleetwood Mac.

I have chosen some of her most iconic looks including top hats, capes, feathers, ruffles and lots of lace. I have tried to capture her beauty, elegance and great style. I scattered crystals at her feet in reference to ‘Dreams’.

Fav songs; Gold dust woman, Sisters of the Moon, Seven wonders, Silver springs, Edge of seventeen, Rhiannon, Dreams, Welcome to the room Sara.

Fav CDs; Mirage, The other side of the mirror, crystal visions, Bella Donna.

Meet the artist

Justine Pateman

I have sketched, drawn and painted things for as long as i can remember. Its been the one continuous life long hobby for me.....and now its my day job.
Growing up on the outskirts of London i was lucky that i could jump on a train and get into the centre to visit all of the galleries and museums quite frequently. I spent many afternoons sketching sculptures and famous works of art.
Formal Art study ended for me after A levels (6th form) i didn't feel engaged for some reason. I had won the school art competition and i guess i must have felt like i had reached my zenith ! Other things then filled my life but i always loved everything that is art.
I love many different genres of music, literature, films, nature and of course Art in all of its forms. What i most admire is how much effort all of the people involved have expended trying to create something different. Some have given their whole lives at great personal expense in the pursuit for something new.

I have been working hard to reduce my packaging and be as green as possible. I have removed bubble wrap and other plastics where possible (any bubble wrap I do use has been re-used from parcels I have received), using bio-degradable and recyclable alternatives such as tissue paper.
